Dennis Markuss

Dennis Markuss
My greatest interest is in subjects that have strong structural or graphic elements whether in landscapes, trees, animal or human anatomy. I work mainly in oils and acrylics using a traditional "dark to light" technique where I
add highlights and shadows to bring the subject out of the background.
Robin Sharples
Robin is entirely self taught and began painting whilst recovering from a serious illness in 2007.

Painting mainly in oils, Robin expresses himself by depicting the millscapes that he vividly recalls from his youth growing up in the old textile town of Ramsbottom.

His paintings are becoming widely collected and are held in collections in the UK and the USA as well as illustrating a number of heritage publications.

Geoff Nuttall

Former signwriter, Geoff Nuttall based in the former mill town of Ramsbottom works exclusively in watercolour and produces his fabulous works of art using the Northern Landscapes as his inspiration.

From the dramatic landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales and the fells of Cumbria to the industrial towns of Lancashire, Geoff's deft hand recreates the atmosphere of these historic landscapes.
Elaine Carlton
Elaine Carlton is a textile artist who has always loved creating with fabrics and threads, and enjoyed teaching Art through the medium of Textiles for over thirty years. She now enjoys producing work for exhibitions, galleries and friends. Pictures are usually composed of a combination of mediums. The work varies in size from 13 x 13 cm to 70 x 100cm and can be found in private collections across the world. Much of her inspiration comes from her travels, especially around Andalucia. The heat and the sun influence the colours, textures and the content. Her Piscean nature means that a great deal of her work involves the sea, beaches and the associated flora and fauna.

She has been involved in textile art groups at Cajobah in Birkenhead, Wirral and with two groups in Cheshire 'Beyond the Surface', 'TX' and Andalusian International Artists in the Costa del Sol . She is, at present a member of Bolton Progressive Threads. Currently work can be seen at the Gibraltar Fine Arts, Casements Square in Gibraltar and in Indigo,La Heradora, Costa Del Sol. She has work also at Bonitas and The Sussex Bar in Fuengirola. Her work has been featured on Spanish Television and in Spanish papers.
Richard Ball
Richard has been painting and drawing all of his life, he combines his love of the countryside, his Lancashire heritage and his spiritual connection with the landscape to help him to create his beautiful artwork. Richard is a keen hill walker and often spends many hours amongst the windswept Lancashire countryside exploring the environment which surrounds him. Richard says "Life is a journey of discovery, we must discover the world around us and then our inner world is further discovered, it is then hoped that by this process we can enhance a beauty of both". Richard is a keen historian and conservationist who feels that it is far better to try and live in balance with the landscape and to respect your local heritage than to try and dominate or change it. It is through his art that Richard continues this legacy of highlighting Lancashire's natural beauty and his love for it.

"Believe in yourself and your dreams."
